Meet the Owner of Hearing & Tinnitus Center of Estes Valley

Susan Day, M.S., FAAA
Susan Day, M.S., FAAAAudiologist, Certified by American Board of Audiology

Susan Day, a practicing audiologist for over 20 years, received her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in audiology & speech pathology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She went on to receive her master’s degree in communication disorders (audiology) from Colorado State University. Thereafter, she completed her clinical fellowship year, earned the certificate of clinical competence in audiology, and became a certified member of the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association. Throughout her career she has worked with otologists and otolaryngologists performing diagnostics for hearing loss and vestibular (balance) disorders, was an otology research assistant for Meniere’s disease, a school district, industrial, and private practice audiologist. Private practice is where she discovered that diagnostic audiology and fitting hearing instruments was the most rewarding area of audiology for her. This became her niche and inspired her to open and operate the Center for Hearing Health, Inc. in Englewood, Colorado for 10 years specializing in fitting hearing instruments.

Susan’s passion has always been to assist individuals who have any degree of hearing loss to achieve their maximum communication ability. Her priorities are to educate clients about their particular loss of hearing, understand in what way this impacts their lives, enable them to feel confident using their hearing devices, and to enrich their lives with improved hearing. Tinnitus (various types of head noise) has often been an under treated condition in the profession. This has inspired Susan to assist clients in overcoming this condition. It is personally and professionally rewarding for her to share these processes with clients and to be part of their success.

When Susan isn’t at the office, you are likely to see her walking her dog on the trails, paddling her kayak on Lake Estes or trail skiing in RMNP/Indian Peaks Wilderness.
